Tissanayagam detained till September

The judiciary in Sri Lanka on Monday has allowed the police to detain three suspects including journalist JS Tissainayagam, until 05 September.
The Colombo magistrate rejected an appeal by his counsellors to release him on bail.
His counsellors argued that the police have no authority to detain anybody more than 90 days under emergency regulations.
